The existing terrace house, built on a very small inner city block, had a brief to maximise space. To achieve this a courtyard was intergrated into the design to create a seemless indoor outdoor living space. The position of the courtyard also created a unique outdoor bathhouse. The design has an emphasis on the use of natural light and white refractive surfaces to aid in the perception of space. For focus, strong saturated colours and sustainable timbers were used. |
